Samuel Esta con Nosotros

Our Venezuelan friend Samuel is with us for a weekend visit, and we are thrilled to see him. He has come to America for a couple months to visit friends, speak at churches, and take care of a couple of medical issues. Samuel is our right-hand-man in Venezuela. He serves as bodyguard, driver, prayer partner, administrator, liason, and much more. We love him as a third son, and it has been great to see him. Yesterday he went to the College chapel with Nancy and the Cosbys and also attended Spanish class with me. The previous evening we went to the Asbury House of Prayer on the Seminary campus and spent some time together praying. We also met an American girl who had spent two and a half months in Ecuador at language school, so Samuel enjoyed talking with her. Today we are meeting with two friends who are going to Venezuela with Dan in late January, and they are going to pick Samuel's brain about various Venezuelan questions they have. Tomorrow we'll probably visit four different churches, two Anglo and two Hispanic, so he can experience some of the variety of worship experiences available here. Samuel's visit is a great reminder of the global nature of the Body of Christ. In Jesus, there truly "is no east or west, in Him no south or north, but one great fellowship of love throughout the whole wide earth."
